Allstate Boat Licensing and Training Bundaberg have a fully qualified and experienced instructor with extensive experience in the recreational and commercial maritime industry. Chris has worked in the senior education sector for the past 16 years teaching marine studies and the operation of marine craft. This vast teaching experience allows us to cater for all learners and ensuring each participant has a quality experience with Allstate Bundaberg.
We offer Online Training Courses (1 day course). Theory and practical training and assessment courses take place regularly over weekends.
Our Boat and Jet Ski licence training is conducted at 94 Avenell Street, Bundaberg, in a specialised classroom and all resources required for the theoretical component are supplied. The practical component is completed in the Burnett River and participants are required to meet at the Sandy Hook ramp, directly after the completion of the Boating theory.
The starting time for the courses that take place on the weekend is 8.00am and we ask people arrive at 7.45am to complete the paperwork to register for the course. You will need to ensure you have photo ID as proof of identification.
Coffee/tea and cold drinks are available. Lunch can be purchased from the many surrounding businesses.
The boating practical sessions will run for approximately 3 hrs depending on student numbers and how quickly you acquire the skills. Students will need to ensure they have sun safe clothing, a hat and water bottle due to the duration of the training.
You will be dealing with an organization with an enviable reputation, leading the boat licence Industry in quality course delivery and total customer satisfaction. Formal training is compulsory for vessels powered by a motor over 4.5kW (6hp) and for a Jetski. This is a condition set by Maritime Safety Queensland. Your training covers all aspects of recreational boating which includes legislation requirements and practical skills. At the end of the training you will be required to undertake a theory exam to be deemed competent. Once you have completed the training, you will be issued with a statement of competency which is not your licence. You must present the statement of competency, a licence application form and acceptable evidence of identity in person at a Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads customer service centre within six months of the date of issue of the statement of competency. Flexible training is available for candidates who need to make arrangements due to family or other commitments. Remember Allstate Boat Licensing provides training and assessment for Jetski licences also.
