  • Training and Assessment provided in the sheltered waters of Southern Moreton Bay adjacent to Redland Bay Marine, the gate to the Southern Moreton Bay Islands.
  • Generous practical time on the water. We give you plenty of time to learn the skills you need, plus you get the benefit of extensive local knowledge. Jason is a commercial Master <24mt and has over 15 years of Marine Rescue in addition to managing large ferry, barge and dredging marine operations. Daniel has a decade of experience in Marine Rescue and Surf Life Saving operations.
  • Easy to follow comprehensive training courses designed to accommodate everyone from the first-time boatie to the more experienced.
  • An excellent online learning course – at no upfront cost – where you study in your own time and at your own pace.
  • Small practical class sizes – less pressure for our students – and more time to practice your skills. We limit our classes to a maximum of 4 students plus the trainer to give a more personal experience.
  • For those doing the jet ski licence course, we run a Seadoo GTI130 jet ski, renowned for handling, ride, stability and simplicity of controls.

  • Generous practical time on the water. We give you plenty of time to learn the skills you need plus you get the benefit of extensive local knowledge. I used to patrol these waterways – day and night – so you will be very well trained.
  • Easy to follow comprehensive training courses designed to accommodate everyone from the first time boatie to the more experienced.
  • An excellent online learning course – at no upfront cost – where you study in your own time and at your own pace.
  • A theory refresher session with the trainer before you are asked to do the theory assessment multi choice questions.
  • A “Safe Boating in Queensland” Workbook to keep for future reference.
  • Small practical class sizes – less pressure for our students – and more time to practice your skills. We can seat 6 students plus the trainer but usually limit the number on the boat to 4.
  • A 5.35 metre bowrider speedboat with full bimini for shelter. There is comfortable seating for up to 7 and it is powered by a Mercury 115hp outboard motor.
  • For those doing the jet ski licence course, we run a Kawasaki Ultra LX jet ski, renowned for handling, ride, stability and simplicity of controls.

What to bring

Please bring suitable identification e.g. Photo Driver's License is ideal, Photographic ID bearing the signature of the Candidate.

We promote sun safety and encourage you to wear sun-safe clothing – long sleeves, a hat, sunscreen, and closed-in shoes.

It is recommended that you bring a change of clothes and towel, especially in wet weather or when attending the PWC License Training. (just in case)

Please bring any food, drink, or medication you may require for the session. Soft drinks and Water are available for purchase from Coast Guard.
